I am writing this letter for the approval of resign from my accommodation from this semester.

As a student from the Communication Department, I feel fortunate to be given the accommodation opportunity. However, after living and studying in school dormitory for some time, I propose my application to move from the school, as a result of the living conditions, learning situation and a list of other factors.

There are a number of objective factors leading to my desire to give up my accommodation opportunity. In the first place, my roommates generally have apparently distinct living habits and lifestyle with me. It is reasonable that all dormitory members are supposed to coordinate and understand each other. But the fact is that some of my roommates largely enjoy the nightlife, by watching movies or playing computer games till the late night. Being extremely outgoing, they cannot help talking and laughing together following the excitement from games. Then, some of my roommates have developed a snoring habit when sleeping. I am a sensitive one, thus I can be easy to be influenced by the external noise during the sleeping time. The poor sleep quality has seriously affect my learning state. I have been trying to understand my roommates and communicate with my roommates but I just failed to change these situations.

Some subjective factors also account for my application for the resign of university accommodation. Before entering the university, I had little experience in collective accommodation. I used to live and study alone in a rather quiet environment, thus I have found it more than difficult to be accustomed to the collective life in university accommodation. This has also decreased my learning efficiency and effectiveness as well. Secondly, it is often the case that I am not able to find the parking place for my car. There is very limited parking space for the students.Too excessive cars make it nearly impossible for me to find a proper place for my car especially at night. Moreover, I am negatively influenced by roommates’ distinct lifestyle to a large extent. It is hard to have a regular rest according to my reasonable schedule. However, I have to decide when to rest based on whether they have finished their computer games or not. Above all, I have developed strong interest in my field and plan to explore my further potential after graduation by applying for higher degree. Thus, the current living and studying situation fail to meet my learning demand as a matter of fact.

The last thing is I want to mention is that I have discussed my personal problem with my family. And they support my idea to move outside for the benefit of my health condition and learning effectiveness. As a result of what has been mentioned, I am able to take care of myself after resigning from university accommodation.

As far as I am concerned, the accommodation faculties of our school are more than responsible. And I am firmly convinced that our school faculties are able to show outstanding leadership and deliberate consideration for the students. Considering of my personal difficulties, I hope to be approved of my application. Thanks for serious consideration.
