In the story, it is mentioned that the religious member who believes in the work of Jesus claimed that he has the desire to work with the poor people so it is important to help the people from the lowest level in the society. This is exactly the attitude or the spirit that people in the modern world lack because the majority of us are too selfish only fixating in our own personal greed. His behavior as well as the beliefs that he holds had revealed to us that all the people including the one who had committed crimes also are worth saving and that is the same as the belief from the Almighty God Jesus. Therefore, in the book the Tattoos of the heart, under the requirement from the passionate pastor Boyle, a lot of new programs had been established and started which are at the aim of helping the gangs to restore their heart and solving real problems for them. What is more, the gang members were also required to learn the Christian gospel values that the church teaches.

Gradually, step by step, because of the special value and the programs that are initiated by the pastor, more and more people in the gangster’s teams have been influenced by the values taught in the church as the pastor teaches that all the people in that area, no matter what they have committed, they should be treated as the sons and daughters. As a result, the area started to become the open and the inclusive zone that accepts the gangs. Also, in the latter part of the story, the teenage gang members are able to get the education from the pastor and the church even though they are kicked out from the other schools. I am deeply impressed by the concept and the beliefs that have been proposed from this book because it shows people that no matter what kinds of bad mistakes that a person has committed in the past, it is important not to hold grudges but instead, they need to be saved because under the rules of God, all people are equal and all people should be treated as the sons and daughters from the almighty power.
